Flagship E&T magazine becomes BPA audited publication

20 November 2008

Leading publication, Engineering and Technology (E&T), published by the IET, has joined an elite group of magazines and other media as it has successfully become a BPA audited publication.

BPA is the only organisation to audit media on a multi-national basis. The audit means that E&T joins 2,500 publications that voluntarily open their records for independent verification and documentation of certification.

Amanda Weaver, IET Publishing Director, said, “We are delighted that we have become a BPA audited publication. Following its relaunch earlier this year, E&T has grown considerably. We felt the time was right to undertake the BPA audit, so that the magazine was on a level playing field with its closest competitors, giving its circulation additional credibility in the international marketplace and leaving advertisers safe in the knowledge that E&T has a rightful place on their advertising schedules.”

Stuart Wilkinson, BPA Worldwide’s managing director for Europe, Middle East and Africa, said, “Within its sector, E&T is a title of academic renown which, by its very nature, means that there is both international interest in its editorial content and interest from potential advertisers in targeting the title’s very specific readership. By applying audit standards that are common across continents, a BPA audit will provide a degree of insight and comfort to international advertisers about the title’s circulation.”
